I like the slate like paper quality to the background image. I also use a variation of this image, for the month of April in my
Sarah Fan Calendar. When I first posted this image on SB2K, it read for <<<<<, and was an attempt to reach out to someone who did
not feel comfortable using their regular alias at the time, I did not know who, but felt someone was hurting, and just wanted to
give them a hug. There are times that I react to what is swirling around me on either Tafkat's forum or SB2K, as if I were a graphic
journalist. I don't know if there is such a job in the world, but it is one I would like
On another page on my Sarah site I say that, "As a computer graphic artist, I like to create images that I see as beautiful, or that just interest me, I keep them around as potential backgrounds for new and unusual graphic images."
One day a friend of mine on these forums, Precious, for personal reasons, walked away from SB2K. I wanted to let her know how much she was appreciated, and created the card on the right for her, and asked people to sing the card, by posting their own thoughts.
Forums are a strange place, where you can feel close to a person one day, and the next they are gone. I also watched my friends, Maitre and Mr. Wiseguy, leave the forum around the same time.
I had never met any of these people in person, but had felt I had met their souls in a way. You can hide who you are on a forum, but you always leave a fingerprint of your soul, no matter where you are at in this world. So I believe, others would disagree.
One day I met Precious's daughter, Reta, actually one day I was flamed intensely by her, I had wanted to reply that she should hold a mirror up to her words and take a look at herself. I'm sure if I had it would have only made a bad situation instantly
worse.
I held my tongue, and waited for a day or so, then left this "clay platter" as a gift for Reta. I think I said something
to the effect that it was a magic platter, and if one put kind words on it and handed them to people, three times that amount of kindness would be returned to her. I make these "clay platters" much like I make glass beads on my computer at home. I some tricks
that allow me to get various results. It amazes me how sometimes I can create clay platters on a computer that rival or go beyond what I could create on a wheel and with a kiln in the years I was a potter.
