INTIMATE RIVER SOUNDS

LET US CELEBRATE OUR SACRED FIRE

Our Sacred Fire

There's a child playing by the river at night
He's in the safety net of your sight
There's a fence and a pasture off to the right
Come here lady turn out the lights
Let us celebrate our love tonight

Naked we came into this life
Naked we cradle each other tight
Naked we handle our sacred fire

Don't ever forget what this love can do
So softly I touch my heart to you
Your breasts so blest with
A mothers milk
Kiss at my side like a pregnant bloom

As  my  hands caress down your face
I feel your thirst permeate the air
Sense your soul purify my love
Feel your lips pressed upon my kiss
Come, let us celebrate our gift.

As our child sleeps the night away
We're hot to each other in a lover's grasp
As the milky morn lights up the sky
I feel you reach for your child's cry
In a brief intimate moment at dawn
You give of yourself to his hungry eyes

As he settles back between our love
We nestle together like morning doves
We celebrate a quiet fire
Here on the banks
Of another day
Our spirits raised
In an intimate choir

When the rains slam down
Rocking the windows
And A Blanket Of Light And a blanket of light
Shatters the night
We  hold our love
In a blanket so tight
He knows he's sheltered
Here along, this once intimate
Now raging river
That one day soon
He must swim upon

When the sun sets
On a bright clear day
And he's off fishing
When he's on his way
When he's fed what he can, from our love
And he's challenged his strength
On the river bed

When we hear his song
Sung low and strong
Rattle these hills
As he tills this ground

Let us celebrate our sacred fire
Let us celebrate our sacred love

In Her Sacred Sheath

As we channel this heat
That rages like a river
From the world below
To the world above

Let us breathe deep in our God
And pluck his fruit
As we dine in these delights
So delicately

Come
Let us bathe in our God
As we wrap our dreams
So tenderly
In her sacred sheath

Let us cleanse each other
In her blessed waters

Let us kneel down low
Here in his garden
Come
Let us celebrate our sacred fire
